Launch of FSB key recommendations for Local Authorities

11 July 2007

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) have identified three key areas within which action by local authorities would make a real difference to small businesses locally. These are:

  • The LABGI (Local Authority Business Growth Incentives Scheme) funding awarded to local authorities should be used to encourage development of the business community and promotes local enterprise activity
  • SBRR (Small business rate relief) should be automatic to businesses entitled to it, with no need to engage in any application procedure
  • Procurement- committing to small business friendly policies
